Purchasing Manager - Program

Lead, manage and control the purchasing function serving ZF Electronic Systems considering total cost of ownership (delivery, quality, service and price) in order to competitively source and purchase raw materials, parts, supplies, tooling, capital equipment and services. Position Responsibilities: Develop strategic suppliers in areas jointly identified with ZF Electronic System who will help in creative product development and cost reduction efforts. Cost management of Bill of Material including targets through Cost reduction (CR) programs and Global Competitive Sourcing (GCS). Ensure that suppliers are and maintain competitive as to price, delivery, service, technology and quality. Use sophisticated purchasing tools such as suppliers cost analysis, world class benchmarks and quality audits to evaluate strategic and other suppliers' performance. Program Purchasing monitors and facilitates the strategic supplier idea bank and is responsible for maintaining an interchange with Commodity Purchasing and all other relevant domains. Maintain continuous cost reduction plans and ensure their implementation. Effectively communicate plans and performance plans to global management. Hold suppliers accountable as to price, quality, delivery, and service. Communicate to them our measures of their performance on a regular basis. Set their achievement targets for getting new business opportunities and/or continuing as our supplier. Work with Global Program & Commodity, including ARB & DPH Purchasing to develop and implement purchasing initiatives where appropriate in order to effectively leverage our global purchasing power. Execution of Supplier Readiness Process. Periodically visit other divisions and major suppliers to maintain relationships and procedures for CARs, PPAP's, and other quality related issues. Manage and direct supplier quality development activities. Manage the function of supplier quality development. Periodically visit customers to resolve quality issues and participate in customer sponsored programs. Ensure that customer, engineering and design intent requirements are understood and met throughout the PPAP process. Establish, and maintain the corrective and preventive action system to ensure prevention of existing and potential causes of product, process and system non-conformances through PPAP phase. Identify, initiate, establish, and maintain the statistical requirements to ensure product and process conformance. Ensure compliance with the ZF Quality Management System requirements (ZF QMS) which includes IATF 16949, ISO 9001 and Customer Specific Requirements (CSR). Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field 8-10+ years of professional experience encompassing the majority of the following fields - purchasing, quality, cost analysis, and/or business process planning. 2+ years of managing/directing others and/or large purchasing projects in addition to delegating/tracking independent work assignments and purchasing-related programs. Deep knowledge of purchasing tools, negotiation methods, and business communications. Working knowledge of assigned commodities, materials, processes. Working knowledge in blueprint reading, statistics, PPAP documentation, product costing, and specifications. Working Knowledge of cost improvement/containment topics and techniques Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.) Superior technical abilities in business composition and mathematics Superior analytical abilities with a high attention to detail Proven ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management Solid organization and time/project management skills Experience with SAP Ability/willingness to travel both domestically and internationally. req2126

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
