Office Manager

Day-to-day maintenance of all office functions and organization ranging from Scale back-up to Accounting duties to basic level Human Resources. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Follow all set safety practices, Company "P's and Q's", honesty and accountability standards. Position holds spending authority.
Essential Functions
Complete daily paperwork as it pertains to the Truck Scale for inbound/outbound loads and customers; rectify any discrepancies
Office specific Accounting duties, as assigned (includes Payable and Receivables)
Scale Clerk back-up in absences and during vacations
Management of facility Purchase Order system
Dispatch duties for drivers, as required
Manage weekly timecard activity, as assigned
Maintain Customer Service standards at all times; recognize when to escalate issues to a manager
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Previous scrap yard truck scale experience is preferred
Demonstrated customer service experience
Intermediate level of computer skills, organizational, interpersonal and business verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of RIMAS helpful
Basic reading, writing, filing and math skills needed
MSOffice knowledge needed--Outlook, Excel, Word in particular
Ability to lift at least 10 lbs.
Customer Service background helpful
Requires daily use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), when needed
Work Environment
This position works in a office setting with daily exposure to the plant and yard areas and the outdoor elements, as required. This position routinely uses basic office equipment such as copier, fax, computer, printer, scanner. This position involves extended sitting and some walking throughout the day and may require bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling or grasping of objects. Visual abilities required include close vision, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Other required abilities include use of hands to fingers, to handle or feel, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
