Responsibilities:
Position Summary
The Administrative Assistant - Engineering is responsible for providing administrative support and clerical services to the Director - Engineering Center North America of the division Car Powertrain Technology, in addition to providing general support for the entire department, assisting on a variety of special and technical projects as needed.

Position Responsibilities
Facilitate budget process assisting managers with collecting data and entering in system.
Maintain Microsoft Project books for current engineering project and historical projects.
Assist departmental staff on special projects.
Determine appropriate reporting formats; distribute reports and related materials to appropriate personnel.
Perform and assist others in the use of various software programs and applications.
Assist management, engineers and engineering associates with expense reports and travel related issues.
Make travel arrangements and reservations for department personnel.
Prepare general correspondence for departmental personnel and management.
Exercise judgment to prepare various activity charts and graphs, compile, calculate and summarize data and layout report format within the limits of standard or accepted practice.
Prepare charts and graphs and summarize data.
Answer and screen telephone calls; take and relay messages.
Sort and distribute mail and reports within the department(s).
Process supplier invoices for department, verify for validity and accuracy of charges and submit for approval.
Maintain schedule and set up meetings, appointments and conferences staff personnel and management.
Maintain and update a variety of department files, lists, records, charts and worksheets.
Use a personal computer and a variety of software programs such as MS-Office, SAP.
Participate in continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, reviewing professional publications, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
Comply with all TS16949 policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills and
Experience:
High School Diploma and 3
years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Formal training in clerical techniques and secretarial methods
Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
Solid organization and time/project management skills
English language competency - both oral and written
Able to manage multiple responsibilities
Solid interpersonal, communications and listening skills
Preferred Skills and experience
Associate's Degree in related field and 5
years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in the Automotive and/or Electronics industries.
German language competency - both oral and written
Use of Microsoft Office
