Job Description:
The Cooper Standard Sealing Engineering Team in Northville, MI, has an exciting chance for an Intern to receive an introduction to and have hands-on experience developing a vehicle sealing system.
They will assist in validating the parts, help with design reviews, review 3D math, data, and drawings, and help with some prototype work.
This Summer Intern position for 2024 will allow you to help understand the development process of sealing systems on vehicles and support the Engineering team as they work to bring the vehicles from prototype to production.
Primary
Responsibilities:
o Various program team support o Support PLUM and VAVE initiatives o Support component and system-level validation o Compile read-across charts for all the profiles for the global programs o Support dynamic CMS meetings with updates to GM o May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
Education and
Qualifications:
o Junior level student o Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field at an accredited university with a minimum 2.
8 GPA o Able to work from our Northville/Livonia location, possibly on-site client visit if necessary o Able to present and talk through technical issues o Ability to read drawings and GD&T o Proficient in Microsoft Office Work Environment/Work Conditions:
o Professional Office Environment o Must wear proper personal protection equipment while on the manufacturing floor o Travel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when required Position Type:
